guide seems uncertain as to how many issues of Castle
of Horror and Tales of Terror there were. I can confirm that there were three of each that
I edited, even though my successor took it upon himself to replace
my editor's credit with his own on the third issues. If either
title survived beyond the third issue, I've never seen evidence
of it.
For the record, Castle of Horror used material from Marvel's Vampire Tales magazine and Tales of Terror reprinted
the strips from Tales of the Zombie.
Though Marvel US had supplied 5x4 transparencies of the cover
art from these magazines and some interior art on film, we had
to reproduce much of the interior art from the pages of the
original US magazines. But by the Autumn of 1978, I'd been contacted
by Dez Skinn to come and edit for his new, improved Marvel UK
