Underground Sounds vol 2, Most of 2002
This was my first attempt at a mix CD using ProTools Free. It was originally intended as a C90 cassette tape, so I had to cut some tunes. When mixing tapes I usually just pulled together the most recent 20 tunes I'd bought and mixed them together, so there was no special theme to this one.

Disco House vol 1

Disco in the House vol 1, Feb 2003
This was the first mix that was conceived as a coherent, themed CD. I've always like that whole Full Intention vibe and thought it'd be a good theme for a mix. So here it was, the first filtered disco house mix, complete with tacky disco-style cover (actually a silhouette of Travolta from the SNF movie poster).

By the time I did this mix, I was beginning to get the hang of it. I'd made more of a conscious effort to structure and theme the mix, but it was still pretty loose. I'd learned a lot of lessons in mixing the first CD, so this one felt a good deal more polished, to my ear, anyhow ...
